Abstract

Industrial development at this time is full of challenges, industrial machines are required to operate automatically and work 24 hours a day. For this reason, industry players take several ways to assess the effectiveness of the machine. One of them is retrofitting production machines that are considered to have decreased productivity or machines that have been damaged. The problems faced by the industry at this time also occur in the Work Training and Productivity Development Center (BLKPP) of the Riau Islands Province, where the flame cutting machine (plate cutting machine) in the welding workshop was damaged and no longer operates. The machine will be retrofitted to its control system using a CNC system which is operated via a computer or laptop. This CNC control system uses Arduino components, CNC shield, stepper motor along with the motor driver. For the software, using Arduino IDE and Open Builds Control software. The level of accuracy of the use of the CNC system on the Noviteme CT 1030 Flame Cutting machine for the movement of the X and Y axes is in accordance with the values entered on the computer. As for the results of cutting an iron plate with a size of 12 mm, you must enter the initial data for heating the plate, to get the cut size according to the size entered on the computer.
