IMPLEMENTASI ALGORITMA C4.5 DALAM KLASIFIKASI KETEPATAN WAKTU KELULUSAN PADA DATA MAHASISWA PENERIMA BEASISWA BIDIKMISI (STUDI KASUS : UNIVERSITAS MARITIM RAJA ALI HAJI )

Abstract

Student graduation greatly impacts campus accreditation. The imbalance between the number of incoming and outgoing students causes an accumulation of the number of students, where a large number of students enter but the number who leave (graduate) on time is much smaller. Therefore, in this study, the C4.5 algorithm method was applied in order to classify the timeliness of student graduation and to determine the accuracy results of the system implemented. By using the existing data, then the data mining process is carried out, the results of the tests that have been carried out with the C4.5 algorithm are able to classify the punctuality of student graduation on time and not on time and produce classification results with an accuracy value of 95%. This proves that the decision tree algorithm C4.5 method can be implemented in the case of student graduation classification.
