Abstract

An interesting learning process can faster the activeness of students. One way that teachers can do is by using instructional media. The purpose of this study was to analyze the students' needs for the use of Ludo learning media in the chemical bonding material of class X SMK Negeri 2 Anambas. The type of research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection using interview sheets. The subjects of this study were a teacher and 10 grade X students at SMKN 2 Anambas. The results showed that the use of instructional media in schools was still insufficient and rarely used. The media that is often used by teachers during the learning process are chemical bonding materials such as blackboards, powerpoints, textbooks, and Student Worksheets (LKPD). The teacher has provided practice questions from various sources such as textbooks and Student Worksheets (LKPD), but in practice not all students are actively working on them. Students like learning in groups and students need game-based learning media in order to increase interest in chemical materials delivered by the teacher. Thus the need for the development of learning media for Ludo games on chemical bonding material, to be able to increase student activity and motivation to learn.
