ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MAHASISWA PRODI PENDIDIKAN BIOLOGI PADA SUB MATERI MEMBRAN

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is descriptive using quantitative methods. This research was conducted at the Biology Study Program FKIP UMRAH Campus in December 2020. The population in this study were all classes of biology education students class of 2018 who were registered in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year. As samples taken in class 18 A and 18 B, totaling 57 students. Data collection was carried out by means of a test in the form of a 15-point essay which all included indicators of critical thinking, namely providing simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, providing further explanation and arranging strategies and tartics. From the analysis of the test results, it was found that the percentage of students with the ability to answer critical thinking questions on the indicators provided simple explanations with a percentage achievement of 78, building basic skills of 70, concluding as large as 72, further clarification of 76 and strategic and tartik of 68, with an average value 73.88. From the average value obtained, it shows that students who have an average score are included in the high category. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, it can be concluded that the level of critical thinking skills of students in grades 18 A and 18 B of the Biology Study Program FKIP UMRAH Campus in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, the results of the study can be concluded that all 2018 class students have a critical category.
