ANALISIS PENGGUNAAN DIKSI PADA SPANDUK “COVID-19” DI KOTA TANJUNGPINANG TAHUN 2020

Abstract

The study aims to describe the criteria for using diction on the “Covid-19†banner in the 2020 city of Tanjungpinang. This type of research is qualitative. The results of this study are the criteria for the use of diction: (1) Accuracy includes, general and special, concrete and abstract, and use of synonyms; (2) thoroughness includes, multiple use ofthe word, multiple use of the word (multiple), dual use of the word, out of the context; (3) harmony involves the use of words that correspond to the context of a sentence, the use of majas (personification), and the common use of words.
