Abstract

The era of globalization that is felt today is not a few students who are increasingly forgetting culture so that the need for education and culture. Lack of learning resources with a cultural context or often referred to as ethnomathematics. The purpose of this study is to describe modules on ethnomathematics-based rectangles and triangles which are valid for learning mathematics in junior high schools. This research is a type of research and development (R&D). The data in this study were collected using a questionnaire method and documentation. The research instrument used was the expert validation sheet. manual module. The quality of the module is assessed based on the validity aspect. The validity aspect is through the material expert validation sheet and the media expert validation sheet using the Method of Summated Ratings (MSR). The results showed that the modules on the material of ethnomathematics based rectangles and triangles met the assessment criteria 68.80% were in the valid category.
