Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the 21st century learning skills that must be mastered. Critical thinking skills are needed in the world of education so that the output produced is not inferior to other countries that are also implementing 21st century learning competencies. For this reason, a research is needed to evaluate the level of students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to describe critical thinking skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The population in this study was class X IPA of SMA Negeri 1 Singkep, totaling 84 students. Sampling in this study used a total sampling technique, a sampling technique that was carried out by taking the entire population. This research instrument is a question developed using five aspects of critical thinking. The data obtained shows that the highest aspect is the aspect of providing simple explanations while the lowest aspect is the aspect of building basic skills.
