Abstract

The study aims to describe the aspects of id, ego, and superego of the main character in the novel A Untuk Amanda by Annisa Ihsani using a psychology approach to textual literature. This research is a qualitative documentary/text study. The data in the study are in the form of words and actions and quotes related to the personality structure of the main character Amanda. The data source that the researchers got came from the novel A Untuk Amanda by Annisa Ihsani which was published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama the main member of IKAPI, Jakarta, 2016 with a book thickness of 264 pages. The results obtained from this study were three huan personality structures as suggested by Sigmund Freud namely id, ego, and superego.
