Abstract

his research aimed to describe the students’ mathematical problem solving abilities who study with ARIAS learning model with context of local wisdom. The type of this research was descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research was all students of class VII C SMP Negeri 4 Bintan in the academic year of 2019/2020. The data collection was performed using instruments in the form of test the ability of problem solving mathematically on the set material. The results of this research obtained that the mathematical problem solving ability of students if measured based on indicators are in the category of very good, good, and enough. While overall students' mathematical problem solving abilities are in the good category and enough category
