Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create an atmosphere of learning so that students actively develop their potential to have spiritual spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and the skills needed by themselves, society, nation, and country. One effort to improve the mastery of basic knowledge is to improve language skills. The scope of Indonesian language learning is from the aspect of language ability which includes aspects of listening / listening, speaking, reading, and writingThis study aims: To describe the skills of writing narrative text through the image media of VII grade students of middle school 2 junior high school in 2019/2020 academic year. In this study, the population used was grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Bintan, totaling 33 students. Data collection techniques used in this study were test techniques. The test technique was carried out as an effort to find out the students' ability to write narrative texts.
