Abstract

This study aims to describe the ecranization process that appears in the plot, characters, and setting in the novel There is Heaven in Your House by Oka Aurora to film form by director Aditya Gumay and its use as an alternative teaching material for literature learning in high schools. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data obtained from novels and films using documentation and literature techniques (see and note). Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results of this study are the ecranization that appears in the plot, characters and settings in novels and films. Changes that occur, namely (1) there are aspects of the plot in novels and films, (2) there are aspects of characters in novels and films, (3) there are aspects of the setting in novels and films There is Heaven in Your House. There are 39 settings in the novel There is Heaven in Your House and 29 sets in the story in the film There is Heaven in Your House. Novels and films There is Heaven in Your House can be used as alternative teaching materials for literary learning.
