ANALISIS KESALAHAN BERBAHASA PADA MEDIA LUAR RUANG DI KOTA TANJUNGPINANG

Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) errors in the use of letters, (2) errors in writing words, (3) punctuation errors, (4) standard words on outdoor media in Tanjung Pinang City.
This research is a descriptive study, which is a description of the status of symptoms at the time the study was conducted. Data collection was carried out using the listening method while the data collection instruments were using human instruments, namely the researchers themselves. The data analysis technique was performed by using a qualitative descriptive analysis technique.
Research results from 30 (thirty) data obtained through data collection techniques that began from the 16th to the 23rd of December 2019 there were some language errors that were not in accordance with the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling and the Large Indonesian Dictionary. From language errors in outdoor media in Tanjungpinang City, the most dominant use of punctuation errors occurs.
