Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the needs of teachers and students in developing electronic puzzle learning media on hydrocarbon material. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this research is a teacher of chemistry education at SMA Negeri 3 Tanjungpinang and 5 students of class XI science. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis of interview results and looked for the average user questionnaire results which were then described qualitatively. The results of data collection show that (1) the limitations of electronic learning media in SMA Negeri 3 Tanjungpinang (2) teachers have never made game-based electronic learning media (3) students have difficulty understanding hydrocarbon material (4) students want learning that is fun so that it can attract students' interest in learning. Based on interviews and needs questionnaires, teachers and students need electronic learning media that can help the learning process on hydrocarbon material so that learning objectives can be achieved very well.
