Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the teaching materials according to the characteristics of the appropriate teaching materials for students who can stimulate critical thinking skills in solving problems in Biology learning. Critical thinking in biology learning is an important basic competence in biology because it includes one of the skills in life developed from the educational process. Starting with the analysis of problems contained in the classroom, curriculum analysis, analysis of learning resources, analysis of the characteristics of students in learning biology. This research is descriptive qualitative. With this descriptive technique, the researcher will describe or describe the data that has been collected about an object so that the final result is concluded. The researcher uses an interactive model from Miles and Huberman which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions from data. The subjects of this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 2 Tanjungpinang. Data collection techniques used observations made to teachers and students to obtain information about the learning model, the characteristics of students and views about the needs of students for E-LKPD Biology.
