Practicum is one of the learning methods to improve the attitude skills of students, in fact the laboratory conditions that limited tools, materials and practicum time, as well as online learning systems during the Covid-19 pandemic caused practicum activities at Tanjungpinang Senior High School 4 could not be carried out as usual. This study aimed to developed virtual laboratory tests on food substance materials for class XI MIPA that are valid, practical and effective. Virtual laboratories can be used as an alternative online learning activities. The method used in this study, the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Plomp (1997) model. This research has three phases, 1) Preliminary Research, 2) Development or prototyping phase, and 3) Assessment phase. The data collection techniques used in this study are media and material validation questionnaires; practicality of teachers and students; post-test and online learning motivation questionnaires. Based on research into the development of virtual laboratory product food tests with an overall validation of 94.63% with a very valid category. The practicality level of teacher and student assessments was obtained throughout the 89.57% with a very practical category. Produk was declared effective with an N-gain score of 0.72 with a high category at the end of the online learning motivation questionnaire of 84.18% with a high category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the virtual laboratory media testing of class XI food substances is declared valid, practical and effective so that it can be used. online learning activities at senior high school 4 Tanjungpinang.
