Abstract

The Comic learning media equipped with a mind map on the human digestive system material was developed with the aim of producing valid, practical and effective comic learning media that can help students construct material for the human digestive system easily, and make it easier for teachers to carry out learning and learning activities. This type of research is the Research and Development (R & D) by using ADDIE models, which include Analysis (analysis),Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (implementation), and Evaluation (evaluation). This data collection technique uses questionnaires and tests. The results of media validation by material experts in the appropriate category and media experts in the very feasible category were tested on students. The results of the practicality trial of the teacher's response were categorized as practical and the student's response was in the very practical category. The effectiveness test was carried out with students' cognitive learning outcomes which showed 87% of students were said to have completed exceeding the KKM with an average acquisition of student learning outcomes, namely 77.12. In the students' reading interest questionnaire, an average N-gain score of 0.56 was proven to be effective in increasing reading interest at the medium category level. Thus, the comic learning media equipped with a mind map is suitable for use in learning as a science learning medium on the human digestive system material for class VIII junior high school students.
