Abstract

This study aims to develop problem-based learning worksheets based on problem-based learning to improve the high order thinking skills of class VIII students that are suitable for improving students' critical thinking skills that are valid, practical, and effective. LKPD is a teaching material that contains material and evaluation questions that have been compiled based on appropriate arrangements for problem based learning and high order thinking skills so that students are expected to be able to learn independently and train stimulus abilities by solving contextual problems at once. gain knowledge related to important concepts of the material. This research is a research and development (Research & Development) with the research model developed is the 4-D Thiagarajan and Semmel model. Based on the results of research and development of the results of the validity of the LKPD based on problem based learning to improve the ability of high order thinking skills, it is declared "very valid" from the material and media aspects. For the practical results of problem-based learning-based LKPD to improve the ability of high order thinking skills, it is stated "very practical". Next, the effectiveness of problem-based learning worksheets based on problem based learning is declared effective based on the learning outcomes obtained by students in the "high" category of improvement. With these results, problem based learning worksheets based on problem based learning to improve the high order thinking skills of class VIII students which are suitable for improving students' high order thinking skills are declared valid, practical and effective for use by class VIII junior high school students.
