This study aims to determine and describe the types of conversational implicatures of Minke's character in Roman Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The object of this research is the novel Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, which describes a symptom, event, event that occurs and the results are presented in the form of a research report. The research instrument is the researcher himself. In addition, the tools in this research are data classification tables and data inventory tables. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation techniques and the method of listening to note-taking techniques. The data in this study will be analyzed using data analysis model Milles and Huberman. The results of this study are as follows. First, there are three types of conversational implicatures, namely general conversational implicatures, scaled conversational implicatures, and specific conversational implicatures in the speech of Minke's character in Pramoedya Ananta Toer's novel Bumi Manusia. Second, based on the data collection and analysis that has been discussed, it can be seen that the general conversational implicatures contained in the Minke character's speech can be interpreted without requiring a conversation context, then the scaled conversational implicature contained in the Minke character's speech can be seen from the speech in the conversation which states the value from the highest value scale to the lowest value, then the special conversational implicatures found in Minke's speech can be interpreted based on the context of the conversation that occurs or the same background knowledge as the interlocutor.
