Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a question instrument for the type of divergent thinking that is valid and can be used to train and develop the type of divergent thinking possessed by the eighth grade students of junior high school. This type of research is 4D which stands for Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. However, this research was only carried out until the development stage or only at the validation stage by experts without direct trials to the field. The data collection instruments used were in the form of validation sheets by experts and product instrument questions. Analysis of the data obtained (qualitative data and quantitative data) using the MSR data analysis technique. From the results of data analysis and validation by experts, it can be concluded that this study has produced 5 questions for the type of divergent thinking. The resulting instrument questions have met the valid criteria by the experts. Validity can be seen from the results of expert validation which states that the instrument questions are suitable for use based on the material (compatibility with the learning topic), construct (compatibility with theory and form of questions), and language (compatibility with applicable language rules and good and correct Indonesian spelling and the use of clear grammar).
