Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of mathematical digital comics on valid and practical social artihmetics material for VII grade students of SMPN 14 Tanjungpinang. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research which refers to a 4D model with restrictions up to the definition stage, the design stage, and development stage. The data collection technique used in this research is using a questionnaire. The isntruments prepared to support data collection were validation sheets addressed to experts in their fields and practicality sheets addressed to educators and students. The data analysis tehcnique used qualitative data using the Method of Summated Ratings (MSR). The result of validation by material experts obtained a percentage of 63.11%, media experts obtained a percentage of 60.99% and linguists 64.15% so that it can be said that the digital comics developed are in the valid category. While the results of practicality conducted by educators show a percentage of 68.58% in the pratical category and practicality carried out by students shows a persentage of 92.76% in the very practical category.
