Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop learning multimedia based on Malay style and design ethnomathematics using Adobe flash which is valid and practical for learning mathematics in Junior High/MTs on the subject of geometric transformations. The reason for taking this topic is because learning mathematics is still considered difficult. Type of research is research and development (R&D), using a 4D research and development model (Four-D model). Then the quality of Adobe flash learning media was assessed based on the validity aspect through a questionnaire by material experts and multimedia experts as well as practical aspects through teacher and student response questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, learning multimedia was developed with the Define, Design, Development and Disseminate stages, which is abbreviated as 4D, but in this study it was only carried out until the third stage or Development. The results obtained from the quality assessment by material experts and learning multimedia experts are stated to be very valid with an average of 93%, and very practical with an average teacher and student questionnaire response of 99%.
