Abstract

One approach that is compatible with 2013 ciriculum is the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) approach. The lack of teaching materials that support the learning process has an impact on the world of education. The purpose of this research is to describe the development of a module with a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) approach to the statistic material for class VII SMP which is valid. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) type of research. The data in this study were collected by means of a questionnaire and documentation. The research instrument used was the expert validation sheet. The quality of the module is assessed based on the valitidy aspect. The validity aspect is through the material expert validation sheet and the media expert validation sheet using the Method of Summated Ratings (MSR). The result of the material expert validation obtained an average value of 69.48% with valid criteria and the result of media validation obtained an average value of 70.76% with valid criteria.
