Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of teacher and students on the learning media that have been used, the learning media needed, and the appropriate learning materials for the developed learning media. The research was conducted on students of class XI SMA Negeri 2 Tanjungpinang City. The research variables include analysis of learning media needs and analyzing the suitability of Core Competencies and Basic Competencies. The type of research conducted is descriptive qualitative research. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets, teacher interview sheets, and written questionnaires to students. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that it is necessary to develop interesting and interactive android-based learning media, so that it can help the chemistry learning process of students on the material factors that affect the rate of reaction. The results of the questionnaires and interviews showed that the learning media used were still limited and did not help students during the online learning process. For the results of student questionnaires, learning media that are interesting and easy to use are needed. The results of the suitability of core competencies and basic competencies are to determine Grade Point Average (GPA) which are the reference in developing interactive multimedia with maritime contexts.
