Abstract

Scientific as an approach in learning is very important in fostering the scientific thinking process of students to the concept of chemistry learning and it takes appropriate teaching resources to support this approach. Developed Animation learning media to found the needs of students on chemical equilibrium materials. The study aimes to 1) determine the stages in the development of animated learning media integrated by scientific approach to chemical equilibrium; 2) to know the validity of the animation learning media integrated by scientific approach on chemical equilibrium; 3) to know the practicality of animated learning media integrated by scientific approach on chemical equilibrium. This research was a development research with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, and Implementation. The practical subjects of this study were a chemistry teacher and 20 students of grade XI Natural Sciences at MAN Tanjungpinang. The results of research on the development of animation learning media with validity tests were declared valid with a percentage by media experts of 65.28% and material experts of 67.23%. The results of the practicality test by the teacher found the very practical criteria with a percentage of 85% and for students 65% with practical criteria. Therefore, animation learning media integrated by scientific approach is valid and practical used for learning in the classroom.
