KEARIFAN LOKAL MASYARAKAT BANYUWANGI DALAM NOVEL PEREMPUAN BERSAMPUR MERAH KARYA INTAN ANDARU

Abstract

The purpose of this research (1) Describing the tradition of banyuwangi community in the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru and (2) Describing the value of local wisdom Banyuwangi community in the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru. This research is qualitative descriptive research. To obtain the data, researchers used documentation techniques. The object of this research emphasizes the local traditions and wisdom of banyuwangi people in the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru. From the results of the study found traditions contained in the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru, namely: (1) The cycle of life consisting of birth, marriage and death. (2) the cycle of time consisting of the celebration. The customs of association consist of visiting and art consisting of dance. The value of local wisdom contained in the novels of women in red camouflaged namely: local wisdom for (1) prosperity or prosperity; and (2) peace or good.The overall value is found in the storyline told in the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah which reflects the daily life in the novel. While the values of local wisdom found in peace in the form of social solidarity, harmony and conflict resolution and gratitude. This is reflected in the strengthening of the main character and the main supporting figure.
