Abstract

This study aims to see the need for learning resources in the form of a pictorial story learning module on the human excretion system material. The data collection technique is done through observation. The research subjects were science teachers and grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 10 Tanjungpinang. The results showed that in science learning the use of learning resources was still less varied and less interesting. Learning sources in the form of textbooks that tend to be monotonous with long sentences and worksheets that are only black and white make students feel bored and bored quickly, thus causing a lack of interest in student learning and affecting student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is necessary to develop innovative learning resources in order to attract students' attention and interest in learning. One of them is a learning resource in the form of a pictorial story learning module on the human excretion system material.
