Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the validity of the PISA model mathematical problem products in the context of quantity and change and relationship that had been developed so that it was declared valid to be used to train the mathematical connection skills of grade VIII SMP students. This type of research was Research and Development using the 4D research model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). However, this study was only carried out until the Development stage, namely the assessment of validity by experts without field trials. The data analysis technique used was qualitative and quantitative data through a questionnaire. The instruments used were the draft question product and the result sheet for the validation assessment by the experts. Then the qualitative data obtained from the experts was converted into quantitative data using MSR data analysis techniques, resulting in 12 items of developing mathematical problems in the PISA model in the form of valid essays and can be used to train students' mathematical connection skills, namely with an average percentage of validity of 75, 89% for scores from language material, construct and material experts.
