PENGEMBANGAN EKOWISATA PANTAI BERBASIS KONSERVASI PENYU DI KAMPUNG BARU DESA SEBONG LAGOI BINTAN

Abstract

The research aims to explain the step and life cycle of sea turtles that can be used as a coastal ecotourism attraction based on sea turtles conservation and to develop attractions on sea ecotourism based on sea turtles conservation in KampungBaru. The method that used in this research are Observation and Interview methods. The samples has been found in this research are local community members of kampung baru , visitors and the management banyan tree resort. The results of the research obtained 2 types of sea turtles found in Kampung Baru namely Green Turtle and Hawksbill turtle. The life cycle of the turtle is the extortion of the egg, hatchling turtle eggs and the release of hatchlings to the beach. The life cycle of a turtle that can be used as an ecotourism attraction is on the release of hatchlings. This attraction is the main attraction to attract the visitors for turtle conservation-based ecotourism activities in Kampung Baru. In turtle conservation-based beach ecotourism activities needs to be improved, maintenance and addition of supporting facilities for ecotourism activities. In addition, there is a direction of the arrangement of the beach ecotourism activities based on turtle resources that are more organized to support tourist activities needed adequate facilities to support the activities of tourists.
