Abstract

In general, this study is to determine whether leverage, working capital turnover and business risk affect the profitability of fishing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016-2019. The independent variable in this study is profitability, while the dependent variable is leverage, working capital turnover and business risk. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of financial reports. The population in this study were all fishery companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2019 period, amounting to 3 companies, with a total sample of 3 companies. The sampling technique was the saturated sample method of 3 companies with an observation period of 2016-2019 so that 48 objects of observation were selected. This study uses the documentation method obtained from financial reports published on the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, namely www.idx.co.id. The analysis technique used is moderation regression analysis with the help of the SPSS 26 program. The results of this study indicate that partially the leverage as measured by DAR has an effect on profitability, working capital turnover as measured by WCT partially has no effect on profitability, and measured business risk. using DOL partially has no effect on profitability. Whereas in the F test, leverage, working capital turnover and business risk together have an effect on the profitability of fishing companies listed on the IDX in 2016-2019. And the Adjusted R-Square value of 14.2% profitability can be explained by leverage.
